In 2018\, we launched the Meshach Browning History Center and Trail System which now consists of historical panels\, 7 pieces of life-size art themed around Meshach Browning\, along with over 6 miles of multi-use trail. Browning was one of the earliest settlers of Garrett County and a prolific hunter\, with much of his life documented in a memoir\, Forty Four Years of a Hunter. His book (and our historical panels) tell the tale from his (very male) perspective\, and although he clearly adores and respects his wife Mary\, there are less than 4 pages about her.\n\nWe intend to round out the story with some new historical panels and art dedicated to providing the women's perspective of this time and place. Following the unveiling\, we'll convene the initial meeting of a group to develop this content.
