    Event Description:
    Celebrate the cultural heritage of Celtic peoples from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Brittany and their influence on Appalachia with a daylong festival by the bonnie banks of the Youghiogheny River in the Town Park in Friendsville, Maryland.  Bring the whole family! 
     
    Many activities planned throughout the day, including: 
    Traditional and contemporary Celtic music  
    Irish and Scottish dancing
    Highland athletes
    Pipe & Drum bands
    Glen of Clans 
    Living history and educational presentations
    Sheep and Duck Herding
     
    Ancient Art of Scything
     
    Celtic Marketplace
    Bairns (Children’s) activities area
