Jesse Ray Carter:
Jesse Ray Carter was raised on a farm near Roanoke Virginia.
At the age of twenty after losing his job as a mechanic he traveled to New York City where he lived on the streets before befriending blues legend John Hammond whom he based his style on.
Ten Years later performing in venues from theaters to dive bars JRC has everything it takes to entertain be it solo or with his band which usually consists of upright bass & drums.
In 2014 Carter chose to close his automotive restoration business in which he had invested 6 years to concentrate on his music full time once again.
Carter lives the blues but has the grease on his hands to rock n' roll! Expect big things to come from him in the near future.
Alison Self:
Reltone Records artist Alison Self plays country, blues and folk music of different varieties on the ukulele and these days, is mostly seen with a guitar. Sassy, sweet and self-assured, she has been described as Richmond’s chanteuse “with a huge voice unlike any other female singer in Richmond.” Alison has been performing since 2006 when she started learning to play as a way to make money and pass the time while hoboing around the country. It soon developed into a number one priority that hasn’t seemed to let up. From DIY events to late night bar gigs to farmers markets to street corners, Alison has become a well known musician in the Richmond roots circuit. Alison performs mostly solo but also in several duet projects.
