Lobster Dinner "It's in the Bag" Back Pack Ministry Benefit

A lobster dinner will be held October 29th, to help support the “It’s in the Bag” Back Pack ministry in Garrett County.  This program provides Back Packs of food for children on weekends when they may not get nutritious meals at home.  We are grateful to all who will come out and support our October Lobster dinner. To make reservations call Sam or Sue Wachter at 301 387-6832. The cost for the Lobster dinner is $25.00.  

We are serving some 270+ children each week.

That is a large amount of money per year to carry on this outreach ministry. This program was started by the Episcopal Church of Garrett County and has since been supported by the United Methodist Churches of Garrett County, Lutheran Churches, Churches of the Brethren, and other groups in Garrett County. The Lobster Dinners are just one of the events that are sponsored to help provide food for this program.  The Lobster Dinner will be held at McHenry United Methodist Church in McHenry (Next to Garrett College). Thank you to all who support this ministry each year. This is a major project for the North Garrett United Methodist Parish. Reservations should be in by Sunday, October 23.  Meal times are 5:00, 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.
