Buy, Sell and Profit from Online Auctions Class at Garrett College

Garrett College Continuing Education and Workforce Development has scheduled a hands-on computer course, Buy, Sell and Profit from Online Auctions, at the College?s Northern Outreach Center in Grantsville. The course will be held on March 14 and 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. This course will help participants take advantage of online auctions as a buyer or seller. They will discover the following: how easy it can be to find buyers; items that sell; insider tips for creating listings to generate more bids at higher prices; and mistakes people make when buying and selling online and how to avoid them. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to describe both buyer and seller perspectives, estimate various markets for buying and selling, discuss the concepts of customer service (incentives, follow-up, and feedback), use techniques to avoid common sales-related buying and selling pitfalls, discuss internet safety, and use tips to prevent internet fraud.
