    1. Leaving the Visitors Center turn RIGHT onto Visitors Center Dr.
    2. Turn LEFT onto US 219
    3.  In 1.5 miles you will exit LEFT from US 219 onto Route 42 (Friendsville Rd.) *In .1 mile you will pass Meshack Brownings Grave on the right side of the road.
    4. In 9 miles take a RIGHT onto 1st St.
    5. Turn RIGHT onto Maple St.
    6. In 9.9 miles Maple St will become Bear Creek Rd.
    7. In 6.1 miles take a right at the stop sign to stay on Bear Creek Rd. * Bear Creek Fish Hatchery will be straight ahead
    8. Travel to the intersection of US 219. Turn RIGHT
    9. Head North on US 219 *in 2.2 miles Cove Run Overlook will be on your left.  You will be able to see the Cove Run Corn Maze from the overlook. 
    10.  Continue North on US 219 .5 miles
    11.  Turn RIGHT on Rabbit Hollow Rd.
    12.  Head East on Rabbit Hollow
    13.  Take a LEFT at the intersection onto Foxtown Rd.
    14.  At the “Y” in the road take Legeer Rd.
    15.  At the stop sign take a RIGHT onto Rt. 495 * This is a Maryland Scenic Byway
    16.  Turn RIGHT onto Rock Lodge Rd.  *You will pass Barn Quilt #2 on your left
    17.  Turn RIGHT onto Mosser Rd. Head West and follow to the intersection of US 219
    18.  Turn RIGHT on to US 219 and head back to the Visitors Center.

    Extended Trip is appx.  54 Miles and 1 hour and 30 minutes

    1. Leaving the Visitors Center turn LEFT onto Visitor Center Dr.
    2. Turn RIGHT onto Vacation Way
    3. Turn LEFT onto Sang Run Rd.
    4. Follow Sang Run Rd. to the Intersection.  *Barn Quilt #20 will be in front of you at the intersection and you will have just past Barn Quilt #XXX
    5. Turn LEFT at the Stop Sign * You will pass Friends Store on the right and Sang Run State Park on the left. 
    6. Cross over the Youghiogheny River.
    7. At the intersections bear LEFT to stay on Sang Run Rd.
    8. Turn LEFT onto Cranesville Rd. *You will pass the Cranesville Swamp Reserve on the right.
    9.  Travel 6.7 miles Cranesville Rd will become Herrington Manor Rd.
    10.  At the intersection turn RIGHT to stay on Herrington Manor Rd. * This is a scenic Byway
    11.  Herrington Manor Rd. will become Liberty St. Travel to the light.
    12.  Turn RIGHT onto 2nd St. at the light. * Heritage Square will be in front of you. A family of museums and historical markers can be found at this location.  
    13.  Follow 2nd St. to the light. 
    14. Turn LEFT onto E Oak St.
    15. Follow S 219 for .5 miles
    16.  Bear RIGHT onto Garrett Hwy. at the Burger King
    17.  Travel 4.2 miles, turn RIGHT onto Mansfield Rd.
    18. Follow Mansfield to the end.
    19.  Turn RIGHT onto Underwood Rd.
    20.  Follow Underwood Rd back to Oakland.
    21.  At the light head straight to enter back onto US 219. * You will pass Advanced Heating and Cooling just beyond Little Sandys on the right. A 2020 Fall Foliage Sponsor. 
    22.  Stay straight on US 219 back to the Visitors Center in McHenry. *You will pass Ledo’s Pizza on the left in the McHenry Plaza, just before the Visitors Center. A 2020 Fall Foliage Sponsor.
