Kick Off Spring with Trails!
Kick-off Spring with Trails!
Experience local trails and share in the natural beauty of the county as Garrett Trails partners with Savage River State Forest to explore Saint John’s Rock on May 5, prune branches, move rocks, rake, grade, collect trash, and spruce up the trail for the summer season.
Come with gloves, tools, energy and enthusiasm to tackle a portion of the trail that Washington’s army traveled. You can even see ruts in the rocks carved out along the trail by wagon wheels.
Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the upper parking lot at Saint John’s Rock. Please bring water, insect repellant, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, gloves, and a snack as needed... thanks for considering carpooling! We will wrap-up the morning back at the parking lot around 12:00 p.m. Check out the Garrett Trails Facebook site for updates at: www.facebook.com/GarrettTrails
