MAMA CORN
Out of the heart of the Allegheny Mountains, grows one of the Keystone state’s hottest, up and coming bluegrass bands today! “Mama Corn”, as they are collectively known, has become renowned for their organic, down home sound, and their fun loving stage show. This high energy band has quickly grown from the seeds of old time acoustic jam sessions, to the forefront of the regional bluegrass music scene. Featuring explosive fret board fireworks, tight vocal harmony, and undeniable chemistry, Mama Corn has captured the interest of a whole new generation of listeners through their ability to push the parameters of the genre, while adhering to the traditions of the music. They have been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of the biggest names in bluegrass music, such as: The Del McCoury Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Rhonda Vincent, and Yonder Mountain String Band, to name a few. In addition to a busy touring schedule, as well as enjoying the success of their debut CD released in 2011, the band is gearing up to lay down tracks on their highly anticipated, sophomore studio effort.
