    About Us

Garrett College, situated in the scenic mountains of Western Maryland, is a two-year, accredited college offering associate degrees for transfer or career advancement, credit-bearing certificates, and non-credit continuing education courses.

Given our impressive location, nature becomes the perfect backdrop for our two signature programs, Outdoor Leadership and Adventure Education, and Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology. Our mountains, forests, lakes, and whitewater rivers have become more than recreational activities; they have become classrooms for students enrolled in these programs.

Garrett College offers degree, transfer, and certificate programs that prepare students for careers and/or further study in the following areas: Addiction Counseling, Business Administration, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering Transfer, Sports Management, Teacher Education, and more!

Through the College’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development, Garrett offers non-credit career training programs that lead to industry-recognized credentials in Allied Health, Construction and Building Maintenance, Manufacturing and Transportation, business solutions, personal interest courses, and more.
